Liz:
One of them has been in the front right corner again for the last hour, but a parent came with food and it scooted right over to join in. It's amazing to see that their darker feathers are already starting to appear. So, the egg is STILL there? Wow.
Baffled:
All the chicks have trekked down the nestbox to the near side by the camera to join their camera-puzzled mom. How fast they grow! How soon they are mobile! And to think we watched them hatch just over a week ago . . . sniff! ;)
Baffled:
Now there are two chicks exploring: one in each far right corner of the next box.
The adult in charge is paying no attention to them; instead staring very suspiciously at the camera (reflections in the lens?)
Baffled:
The little wanderer is off in the corner again.
These chicks are definitely getting mobile and starting to explore their environment!
deedream:
Whew is right, my it is nerve racking watching all that. I have to strain my eyes to see if everyone gets fed, thankfully enough for all and there was enough to go around, our little wanderer got lots too eventually. lol.
