The Peregrine Chick:

No they are more than a week younger than we band our chicks - they hatched out on the 25/26 May which makes them 18 days old.  We don't band until minimum 21 days, usually a couple more "to grow on".  Elk River however has a very experienced peregrine person working with them, so I have no doubt that they have it all in hand.

Pchemist:
Ooooh, I can see some flight feathers on the wings when they stretch!  cool.  8)

Pchemist:
It is soooo funny seeing that chick yawn while waiting for mom and dad!   :)

Earlybird:
I'm really glad I got to see that!  I had the window minimized, but all of the sudden heard human voices coming from the speakers.  Confused me for a second, but then I realized what was going on.
