lol.  No, I meant Pchemist would get a really early wake-up call if the sound was left on, and the problem got fixed in the middle of the night!   :D :D

I'm seeing the chicks for the first time in a few days and can't believe how they've grown!

Interestingly, one of the chicks is mesmerized by the light like the parent was! Oh, well now it's preening, nope, back to staring at the light!  I'm glad the other two are ignoring it!  This is the first time I've seen the chicks without their parent in the box with them at this time of night...finally got squished out, I guess... :D

You scared me there for a moment Liz, thought you were asking me to give you wake up call, never again after someone recently asked for a 4am wake up call!

My luck they will fix it in the middle of the night, I will have forgotten about the window and not muted the computer, and I will get a screechy 3am wake-up call.   :P

I'm sure Tracy will answer, but I found this peregine FAQ:  http://www2.ucsc.edu/scpbrg/faq.htm

in it this was a Q&A:

Q. Where do peregrines get their water?

A. Peregrines get all the water they need for survival directly from the food they eat.  However, they do like to drink water and bathe in it if it's available in a safe and secure location.

So, there you have it.   :D

I guess I assumed they got what they needed from their food, but it is a good Q for days when it's really hot, and esp when they're getting bigger like these ones.  I can see hatchlings not needing any, but chicks are getting to be full-grown!
