Pchemist:
All three are leaning against the back wall, staying out of the sun.  Not much movement, perhaps it's hot there today.  It's certainly hot here today!  already over 32C and not even noon yet.  forecast high of 42C!

Anyway - they are also a lot more adult looking now.  Especially the male - nearly all dark flight feathers on the wings.  Getting close to fledging, perhaps!

And no, last I saw the second egg had not hatched.

JL:
Mom just came right up close to the camera and stared at it.  I looked for her bands and she doesn't have any!

JL:
Wow, I think I just witnessed the mom hunt.  She was standing on the bar in front of the nestbox.  I heard another bird's chirping, apparently so did she, next thing I saw was mom disappeared with a quick dive down.  Not even 2 minutes later, the mom's back with that little bird for the kids.  It had no chance.

JL:
You guys are right - the mom's squawk is quite annoying.

JL:
There was two of them standing on the edge looking around this morning.  These chicks are getting ready to fledge any day now.
