LouLouBelle:
I watched Mom for over an hour in the box this morning. She even took to dozing off but remained ever vigilant if there was any noise whatsoever, then would doze off again. Looks windy there but not raining/snowing.. No sign of the mate...

Doesn't look too bad there so far this morning. Mom has been back and forth calling to someone on the outside perch.
I hope our 30B is safe and sound somewhere too.

Yes, the weather is supposed to absolutely nasty in the south then coming North....I live in Winnipeg and we are supposed to get lots and lots and lots of rain, then some more snow, oh and then more rain >:(
The meteorologists are predicting lots of precipitation and some pretty bad storms through Minnesota then coming up to Manitoba...YUCK!!!
Brace yourself Falcons...just find a safe, dry spot and stay there.
carly:
I wouldnt' call you crazy Maggie, I'm the girl who called Australia when an disappeared out of the nest...so you are a long way from crazy girl :P
I'm glad you did it and thanks for posting that link. Although it's not exactly balmy weather, it doesn't sound as bad as they had indicated earlier..let's hope for weak winds.

I'm worried about the weather now, they mentioned possible 'first' tornadoes of the season coming with those storms. They didn't say specific location but hopefully these guys will be ok.

Call me crazy but I like to check on the weather here as there are a lot of storms in this area so here is the U.S. Weather Service forecast page for Elk River. The forecast has actually improved from this morning and doesn't sound too bad. Things are much worse west of Minnesotta.
