Yeah I was watching Mom doing some scraping and hanging out at the nest.

That's exactly what I was thinking, LouLouBelle!  And boy, is she noisy this morning!

watching Mom in the box and I know it's early but she sure looks like she's working on laying an egg! scraping and pecking and laying down.... hmmmmm

I think you are dead on TPC for this pair.  The territorial fight was mid month, around the 17th I think?  (Too lazy to go back through the posts) and then these 2 courted a few days and we saw oncam them making out on the outside perch...well a fly-by quickie..lol!

The birds returned approximately March 5.  They only appeared occasionally at the nest box during the first week or so, then gradually they appeared in the nestbox, sometimes together, during the last two weeks.  It is only this week, I believe, that they have been making a serious effort at setting up the nest to their exact specifications.

Has it been two weeks since they started copulating?  Usually takes that long.  Anyone make note of when the birds returned .... or at least when they started to appear on the camera?

Mom is really working on the nest this morning, digging, selecting materials, and laying down in the scrape to make sure it suits her; I do believe an egg is imminent!

Mom and dad were just both talking and bowing to each other.  Lots of scrapping and digging and bending over this morning...wonder if she is getting closer to the big day!

watched Mom again this afternoon, looked breezy but otherwise good. hoping to see eggs in the next couple of weeks....
