Hart and Dot had two chicks - a male (Horus) and a female (Pakhet). As best I can tell, the chicks had fledged and were doing well prior to Hart's death. After Hart's death, I didn't see Dot or her kids at all at West Winnipeg. But that could just have been timing, or it could have been that the chicks were able to follow after Dot as she went about hunting and teaching them how to be big peregrines.
I did get a report that Pakhet died west of Portage la Prairie a month later but I don't have any more details yet.

with many tears, that was a wonderful tribute. As I read this I think of my beautiful Radisson from Winnipeg who will migrate maybe even today. she is 16 . every year I bid her farewll and wonder what her migration will unfold. As Hart is your heart. Radisson has been th e heart of Edmonton.
she has a grandson nesting at another of our sites this year. Such a formidable gal, and so Princess produced strong offsrping.
my hope is that some more of Harts offspring are found nesting.
hugs TRacy and those who followed Hart

Going through West Wpg Banding Day photos wasn’t the easiest task to do…but some things we have no control over and still hard to believe that Hart is no longer here.
