These chicks are in the waddle faceplant developmental stage. ;) In fact, 2 are waddling around the nestbox, 1 is faceplanted down near the front of the nestbox and the 4th one has managed to hop out of the nestbox and is faceplanted down between the wall and the nestbox.

All 4 chicks seem to be thriving at this nestsite. :D They are alone in the nestbox at the moment, all huddled together.

Two chicks hatched yesterday,  March 30th.   Lil has been trying to keep them tucked up under her, but they like to squirm it seems !!

2012 NESTING SEASON

First Egg was laid last Saturday on the 19th and Fourth egg was laid today and Lil is in incubation mode!

According to the site, first hatch is estimated to be between March 27th and 28th!  

Let the season begin!  ;D
