Yeah, I figured it was too soon...but I did see some waddling and someone did a faceplant...no stomping though  ;D

Thanks for the link to the dictionary, TPC.

I'm probably going to mess this up, but it looks like they're at the "waddle, waddle...faceplant" stage already.  Is that the correct term from the Phanatics dictionary?  It's been so long... ???

No, bit too young - technically they should be close to banding age when they are big/strong enough to execute such a complex move 🤣

And it is: Waddlestompfaceplantwalk

Are those pips on the eggs, or is it just wishful thinking?

Ella sure showed her strength and did a great job of protecting her site, and I was glad to see that at least she and her chicks appeared well when the fight ended.

Hopefully the brave intruder is also faring well as life can be so difficult for these birds.

Both chicks just had a good feed, then were tucked under along with one egg.  I couldn't see the other egg.

Maybe the other female will find Hart ?!  Or maybe that was his new girlfriend and she came over to tell Ella to butt out!  Seriously glad no one was seriously injured - that we know of anyway.

Feeding happening now at 3:32E/2:32C. Two active squirmy fiesty chicks.
