(1/1)
Alison:
The first egg was laid on March 6. By March 13, FT and his mate were incubating four eggs.
Alison:
And this is FT, the son of Pa and S2. He is very handsome, just like his parents.
Alison:
This is the resident female; it looks to me as if she has a silver band on her left leg.
Alison:
The webcam at the Eindhoven nest is new for this year, installed in late December 2015.
The peregrines have nested in Eindhoven since 2011. From 2011 until 2014, they nested at the Technical Services building, raising ten chicks during this time.
Because of renovations/demolition of the Technical Services building, another suitable nest site needed to be found for the peregrines. They now nest on the South Tower of St. Catherine's Church. This was a familiar place for the falcons, who regularly perched on both towers. Last year, they raised three beautiful chicks.
The male at this nest, banded FT, was born at de Mortel in 2009 and is therefore a son of the legendary pair Pa and S2. The female is from Belgium, but is so far unidentified.
