Wow! What a great story of the rescued chick.

She almost looks the size of her mother.  The males look really small beside her.

Great video and wonderful that the chick was able to be reunited with the rest of the chicks and parents.  :-*

The resident female at this nest for the past few years was born at the Lowell, Massachusetts nest in 2010. She is banded black/green 63/AE.

The resident male for the last several years has been 80/X. However, this year he was displaced by his son, banded black/green 25/AB, who was born at this nest in 2010. There has been no sign of 80/X.

This year, four eggs were laid and three chicks hatched.

 

One day before the chicks were due to be banded, one of the chicks disappeared. He had fallen from the nest.
