We will be banding the Radisson chicks tomorrow, Tuesday, June 14th starting about 10am.

With the streaming issues, we are not entirely sure that we will be able to stream the banding live but we will be recording it.  If we can do both, we will.

Chick Pile - is there a better way to spend a cool, wet Sunday afternoon?

Now that our chicks are spending time outside, birdwatchers need to carry an umbrella. Just saw the chick turn its back to the wall(??) and head down, tail up and poop shoot over the wall.

A chick is pecking away at some leftovers. Can hear but not see the others.

The last egg is now in view on the patio. Rolled out by Princess or butt scooted there by the chicks?

Wow! I happened to be in the downtown area myself this evening & also thought I saw Princess perched on a pipe like tube on top of the Radisson while another PF, probably Smiley, was flying overhead. Also saw a little white bobble head popping up out of the nest box from time to time. Won't be long till they will be walking along the nest box ledge.

Amazing first excursion of the season this evening.  Saw herself perched like the royalty that she is on top of what looked like a pipe on the Radisson roof.  Then a quick fly over the nest box by her second-in-command and that was it.  No more action.  But thrilling none the less!  Oh!  And we saw a little white head, periodically peeking over the edge of the nestbox!

When do you expect fledging to begin, TPC?  Got to do some planning for Fledgewatch 2016!

Saw Princess sitting on a roof post at the Radisson tonight, and Smiley for a few short seconds flying near the nest. Other than that, just a young head or wing popping up now & then inside the nest.  - Soon those kids will be prancing around on the nest edge.
