She's back and the male is gone.  Just flew off like he knew exactly what he was doing.

Chick got checked out by Hillary from Wildlife Haven and she looked good to be returned right away so she's back in the nestbox and Mom and Dad are yakking at me.

That little male (may we call him "Dixon"?) is about to go.  Sitting on the corner and flapping ::)

Chick looks to be fine - some good Samaritans found her and kept her safe and called the cops with the report.  Winnipeg is full of great folks!!  Wildlife Haven also got called and are looking so we are hoping for an onsite assessment in cases he can go back up right away. If not or we are sure then she'll get a full work up and come back when she's ready.

Good News! Great good Samaritons!  :)

Don't know who it is yet - I just scooped and moved to get her to a quieter place and into a carrier where she can de-stress a bit.

I think the male was just sitting quietly...the other girl was inside if I remember correctly.  Nobody did any pushing except the wind and maybe a loss of balance due to exuberance! ::)

Just saw TPC's post!  So glad she's been found!!

RCF, when I checked the camera at 5:30 it appeared that the male was still there.  And ballywing, I agree; yesterday I was sure one of the girls was going to knock the male off because he was perching and she was lying under him.

Thanks susha, you posted while I was writing.  :)

I think it was one of the girls.  Jumped onto the ledge and opened her wings to wingersize and looks like the wind just blew her off backwards or she lost her balance.  It was clear that it wasn't deliberate...

Tracy, Can you tell which chick sort of fledged? Was it the male or one of the girls? I can't really tell. :-\

Backwards?? That is strange isn't it? Was he knocked off by a sibling?  :-\    I do wish they would stop leaping around on that edge - gives me heart attacks.  :-X

Making ever increasing circles around the Hotel and so far no sign - no Dennis I'm afraid he is otherwise engaged this evening.

So far no news and no news is good news.
