Sorry folks was tweeting while I was waiting for the elevator after putting Dixon back in the box - long waits because the Hotel is full of grad parties (the kids look so nice and are so cute together) so I thought I would have time to post on Twitter and here before it arrived but then the doors opened and I needed to get me and a smelly crate inside before the doors closed. Then I was in the car swearing at an impatient driver who just had to run a red light and then it was 10 minutes ago and I realized I'd not updated you all here about Dixon. 

Dixon was the first chick we banded this year and the one who fired Dr Bob.  When I got to him was much quieter than when we'd seen him at banding.  I couldn't find anything wrong with him but I'm not an expert and that he was so tolerant made be suspicious that there might be something more serious.  Dan from Wildlife Haven gave him a much more serious exam and the result was the same fortunately for us - nothing wrong and he could go back to his family.  Because his sisters are still in the box and we've already had one adventure with Nellie I want to minimize as much as possible the risk they would fledge when I put him back so he had a little quite time until this evening - they won't fledge at night so they will all have a night together and we'll have to see what happens tomorrow - hopefully they will just hang out and wait until at least the weekend to try again - particularly as Dennis and I will be in Brandon banding Hurricane's and Sol's chicks.  But have warned the folks at he Hotle and with the wildlife agencies that we will be out of town...

Now Smarty-pants Dixon is having himself a bedtime snack on the edge corner of the nestbox and one of his sisters wants him to share!

Dixon looks a little befuddled, but I'm sure he'll be back to his fearless self soon!

All three back together...for how long I wonder?

Went away from the cam for a while and heard a bunch of kakking.  Thought maybe it was Dixon coming back via the taxi of TPC...

Still only see the girls on the nestbox, but somebirdie's doing some hollering...

I hope they stay put for a while.

Whew!  There's Nellie!!  Now she's flapping.

I see only Cora and hoping that Nellie's inside.  Does anybody know?

Cora's definitely looking like she wants to take off...is that coz she's alone now?!?

The cam keeps freezing on me. Luckily, I can follow the excitement on the forum.

My screen opens up at the radisson peregrin, so I also missed out on voting this year.

Must congratulate you all, the names are very pretty and suit them. Good job!

at 1052h - both girls still at the nestbox, just had the cam zoomed in a bit too much so one couldn't be seen on the northwest corner.
