No, I believe it isn't too bad actually - the elbow is high on the wing which is better and I think a dislocation is better (relatively speaking) than a break, but not positive about that one could be about the same.  He'll be there for awhile I suspect.  Dislocation needs to heal then he needs to rebuild his strength again.  And he'll be assessed for re-release as he hit milestones - and every bird heals at their own pace.

Injuries higher (closer to the body) are said to have better chances for recovery than injuries further down the wing.  I believe because of the amount of air pressure lower on the wing in flight.
