This is an update on these majestic birds. I haven't been on this site recently. The eaglets are due to fledge around the end of June. Camera view has gone awry due to wingercising.

About the Hanover Bald Eagle Cam

UPDATE FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA GAME COMMISSION:

We believe that the camera angle may have been shifted by eaglets branching on top of the camera. We won't approach the nest to attempt to rectify the camera angle and risk interfering with the nesting attempt. We expect the eaglets to fledge soon and still plan to turn the camera off around the end of June or early July. Thank you for your interest in this unique view of bald eagles in Pennsylvania.

HDOnTap has partnered with Pennsylvania Game Commission to bring you this front seat view of two Bald Eagles during their breeding season!

The bald eagle's history in Pennsylvania is a precarious one. Only 30 years ago, we had a mere three nests left in our entire state. With the help of the Canadian government, several agencies including the Pennsylvania Game Commission brought bald eagle chicks back to their states to reintroduce bald eagles to the Northeast. Today, Pennsylvania boasts more than 250 nests.

Timeline of the Hanover Bald Eagle Nest

February 14th, 2015, 5:55pm: first egg appears

February 17th, 2015, 4:44pm: second egg appears

March 24th, 2015: first egg hatches

March 25, 2015: second egg hatches

The eagles are expected to fledge (leave the nest) by late June or early July.

Had a view of the eaglets. It would seem Mom has taken a time out. So cute.

:o Lots of sushi around this nest. And, oh yes, Kinderchick, the skunk carcass is still there too! Is it possible it could smell worse?
