True but I just keep remembering her sleeping in the nestbox when it was snowing, something that I've never seen her do - only other time was when she was injured a couple of years ago. While she was napping, I thought, smart bird, taking better care of herself as she's getting a older especially since raising chicks doesn't get any easier just because you are older and more experienced. With help from Smiley, she'll do well, it would just be nice for it not to be quite so hard on her.

Agreed. :)
It would amaze me more if she would choose the nestbox for 3 years in a row! ::) :D

1000h - Princess is on the eggs with her head tucked into the wall.
Interestingly, the winds here right now are light. At the University they are being clocked at up to 5 km/h with gusts up to 7-8 km/h. According the Beaufort Scale, this is a light breeze = ""Wind felt on exposed skin. Leaves rustle. Wind vanes begin to move."
Why "interestingly", because the wind on the east side of the Radisson is more than that. The webcam is shaking and Princess' feathers are getting muffed up. The wind is from the south east so it is blowing right up the canyons made by the buildings downtown and right over the nestledge. It also explains why Princess' head is up against the wall - she's sitting broadside to the wind so that she isn't flipped off the eggs. If the wind were higher, she'd be lying flat with her head into the wind.
