Now I am going to say it ... stoopid bird ... nestbox nice and dry ... ledge wet and windy ...

Chosen Nestsite

UnChosen Nestsite (this year)

what is worse is that the west-side skycam and the east-side spycam and ledgecam are all "hanging" so affected more by the wind than fixed cams.  The skycam right now is barely moving in the wind and of the three, it is the highest, so the wind has swung around and the west side is more protected than the east at the moment.  There is always weather that sucks but this bird has the most uncanny ability to chose the worst site on the years with the worst weather!  I guess she can't be perfect at everything  :'(

a quick exchange and cam blurry because :-* of wind but when eggs were alone you could see gravel was dry where eggs are
Thanks for the update Bev. I'm one of those glass half full type.   ;D   I think that all is going to be fine. No need for worry until something happens.

Looks like the heaviest rains will be about midnight then they will drop off over the next 3-4 hours to about 1mm/hr, which is annoying but generally not a problem for the peregrines ... fingers crossed ...

Checked the weather radar and it looks like there will be patchy rain between 1900 and 2100 ... that's as far into the future the radar can forecast so will be keeping an eye on it this evening and tomorrow.

The radar maps for Brandon today looked horrible but according to a local weather monitoring station there hasn't been any rain.  Hopefully that will the be case here too!
