Four eggs . . . no longer

It is now safe to say that the 4th egg with the hole that we noticed last week, has been consumed by the adult birds. This is not uncommon, and the parents almost always eat the empty egg shells after the chicks hatch. In this case, the broken egg appeared to be a food source to the adults and was treated as such. It takes a lot of fuel to incubate the eggs, so any source of calories is readily accepted. This now means that we have three eggs in the nest. They should begin hatching within the coming 7 to 10 days!

RCF:
There are now three eggs here and the last egg was laid was on April 22, so they may be getting ready to hatch.  I am not sure but there may be a pip in one of the eggs.  8)

The Peregrine Chick:
Annie is back with Miracle and they began incubating mid-April.  I'll see if I can find any news stories to post.
