allikat:
So all is okay with these young and CUTE little chicks? I know that you posted earlier that you saw them chewing/scratching/itching themselves? Didn't know that parasites were normal or common?
Good thing is, they are well taken care of and that's all that matters :D
Alison:
Five very well fed chicks today. Peregrine chicks will normally have parasites, but they are not usually harmful to them.
maggieblue:
These 5 are getting lots of feedings and growing like crazy. I have started to wonder if the chicks might have some kind of external parasites. They have pink patches and have appeared to be restless and chewing on themselves. Before I thought that the wet patches must be from the rain but the weather has been good for the last couple of days. I am just wondering what, if anything, could or would be done in a situation where chicks acquire something like fleas or lice?
bev.:
I saw a picture on another site today and could not believe their size. :o :o the prey must be on hormones or something ;D ;D
maggieblue:
Group hug going on in Harrisburg as all five are huddled together face to face. Awwwh :D These guys are growing really quickly.
