Egg #2 this morning... :D

She is beautiful and she is unbanded. This is the first time we've seen her close up. She arrived at Harrisburg in September, 2010. We are not sure what happened to the resident female, named Mom. She was the original female at Harrisburg. The last time we saw her on cam, she didn't look well. Lots of theories from West Nile to Trichomoniasis. One of the males from the 2010 season had contracted trich and was taken from the ledge to rehab, but later had to be euthanized due to secondary complications brought on by his weakened condition. He had just been days from fledging. We do think Mom had been in a territorial dispute (possibly with NG)that ground observers said lasted for 2 hours..She was fierce and many feel she would have had no problem holding on to the nest, unless she was sick. She was 12. A tribute to her can be found here:

The male, Lil' Dad (original, huh) Fledged from the Walt Whitman Bridge in Philadelphia, PA in 2003. He arrived at the Harrisburg ledge in 2005. He was Mom's second mate...He is a fantastic father and should be an excellent teacher for NG..I'll have to see if I can find a band #.
The Peregrine Chick:
That female is pretty enough to be a Manitoba bird ;)
Do we know if she has bands SGB? Or that either of the pair have bands?

1st egg!!! And may be the first egg ever for the new female (called NG, New Girl)...
