The first chick made it's appearance sometime during the night and by early morning light had it's first feeding. Rather hit and miss event and rather messy.

Exciting times at the nestbox today. Large pips in a couple of the eggs and quite likely will be chicks underneath NG by morning. It is quite funny watching this pair as they are both determined to be on the eggs. They are constantly trying to get the other one off the eggs so they can take a turn.
