2013 NESTING SEASON
Louisville Gas and Electric Co. and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources are unveiling the state’s first peregrine falcon web camera, located at LG&E’s Mill Creek Generating Station in a falcon nest box 300 feet above the ground. Read about it here: http://www.lanereport.com/19859/2013/03/first-peregrine-falcon-web-camera%E2%80%A8/

Since late February, there's been a lot of activity within the nest box. The male, identified as "Fabian" by his leg bands, was hatched in Cincinnati and likely has been at Mill Creek since 2007. The female, who has not been banded, has been at Mill Creek since 2006. The female falcon has laid five eggs since February 21, and we expect the eggs to begin hatching some time during the last week of March.
