Wow! Thanks for those links RCF. What a lot of fascinating information. No excuse now not to know what's going on.  :)

Oops! Where did they go? Well thanks anyway, whereever they went. :)

the edge of the nestbox has been showing wet since the light came up this morning ... at the moment the edge appears to be drying some (in comparison with an hour ago) so there would appear to be a bit of a break at the moment ...

--- Quote from: Rose on June 09, 2013, 09:40 ---Hasn't rained in Brandon since 0500h, only 1ml in my rain gauge overnight and wind is from the south southwest, so maybe a good day for a hatch? :)

--- Quote from: Rose on June 09, 2013, 10:16 ---Just in case anyone thinks it's raining in Brandon, it's only water dripping off the roof gutters that are plugged, it will  drip like that for days. :)

It drips even after a week of no rain.  ;)

This may get moved to a different thread, but this is from Froona's website about hatching eggs. You may have to scroll down on the left hand side of the page and look for the word "Hatching"

That is so amazing, RCF!  Earliest viewing I've ever had of one of "our" chicks!  Thank-you for all of your photos and videos and captures.  You really do enrich the experience of watching and following the birds soooo much :-*
