It just started to rain, Hurricane is in the nest box with the three chicks.  It's from the east so they are getting a bit wet and Rose said it was hailing at her house (2 miles west of downtown).   :o

Chronology for this morning ....

0430h - chicks by themselves in the box
0524h - first breakfast (quick)
0656h - second breakfast (longer)
lots of wandering and sprawling in the sun in the box
1030h - tucked up in the back corner asleep in the shade
now - more sprawling all over the box - some in shade, some in the last of the sun


Weather for today ...

Day - Partly cloudy in the morning, then overcast. High of 27C. Breezy. Winds from the East at 15 to 20 km/h.
Night - Overcast with a chance of a thunderstorm and rain, then thunderstorms after midnight. Fog overnight. Low of 15C. Breezy. Winds from the East at 10 to 20 km/h. Chance of rain 80% with rainfall amounts near 8.4 mm possible.

Holy cats those chicks are getting big - the three of them sprawled out easily fill half up half of the nestbox!!

Kinderchick:
Haaa!!! 2 of the chicks were just picking away at a leftover wing while the 3rd chick in the corner was trying to sleep. When they bumped into him, he appeared to wack them with his wing! LOL! ;D
