I saw all five peregrines today, so all accounted for.  Kelly was on the annex building and Bogart was on the west side roof of the McKenzie building, where Kelly was yesterday.

Spencer has fledged, but he is not in an ideal place.  He is perched on top of a hydro pole on the north side of the annex building (Pacific Ave). The hydro pole is probably 20 feet high.  I hung around for a couple of hours but he didn't seem to be going anywhere fast, so I came home and will go back later.

1108h - Pretty sure I saw didn't see tape on the leg band of the chick napping on the corner wall, so Spencer!

Nope, I was wrong, it was Bogart.  When he got up again, I had a clear look at two dark bands - one black, one green.

When I left someone was out on the balcony across the street, so nobody was moving except Brooklyn and Hurricane who were kakking and flying over the mts roof showing their displeasure.

The two boys.

I was watching the cam and one of the chicks flew south from the northeast pillar, a few minutes later there was one on the southeast pillar and then flew off and went north.  I got in my car and went to Brandon. I found the fledger on the west side roof of the McKenzie building. It was Kelly and I would estimate 5pm for her fledge time.

Lots of thunder and lightning and it is/was raining cats and dogs, lots of water running down the street.

Figured that must be the case ... just checked the cam in the nestbox and it is getting wet, the window cam isn't yet ... chicks don't look wet but they must be getting a bit damp ...

Looks like Bogart and Spencer are up on the wall (one facing in, one facing out) and Kelly is in the corner.  All three are just sitting there, almost like they are waiting for something to happen or to pass.  Think there might have been some lightning as the camera did a bit of a reset (the configuration data shows in the top left corner) and that usually only happens when there is a power fluctuation.  Guess that could mean the storm(s) is/are on their way ...  :-\

Looks like the wind is picking up in Brandon, usually the camera is pretty protected but it has a shake right now.  The sun isn't shining and it is only 20C in Brandon right now, so I'm interested in the two chicks' decision to hang out in northeast corner - they don't need to be in the shade to stay cool and they aren't entirely out of the wind so while they are still young and need more rest than their parents, their choice of location is interesting. Besides being very photogenic, they are very watchable chicks ...

Just as a heads up, the cams will be going offline next weekend as CBC needs the streaming resources for upcoming projects.  Given that these chicks are 41 days old today, we should them all up and flying before that happens.

Severe thunderstorm watch for Brandon - Carberry - Treherne
 10:33 AM CDT Sunday 21 July 2013

Severe thunderstorms expected this afternoon into this evening.

A low pressure system moving through Southern Saskatchewan is expected to push into Southwestern Manitoba and trigger severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Large hail, damaging winds, torrential downpours and frequent lightning are possible with any storms that develop. In addition...Depending on the evolution of this system, there is the potential for tornadoes to develop later in the day. The meteorological service of Canada is monitoring the situation and will upgrade the severe thunderstorm watch to a tornado watch if warranted.

Severe storms should move out of the province by late this evening.

1137h

All three kids are hanging out together on the roof in the north east corner.  Spencer and Kelly war eating and Bogart is lying down napping in the shade in the corner.  They look like a pretty content crowd I must admit.   The kids are 41 days old as of today.
