Radisson - 2013 / Ivy & Princess
photosbydennis:
Princess feeding both chicks this morning...Tracy will perhaps know what trime they hatched out.
noellat:
I just saw two chicks moving on a shift change. No feeding though.
susha:
And that's the difference between us and nature - It's wonderful to see Mary Ellen, comfortable, dry and relaxed with her two babies and I'm heartbroken, wishing that Princess could be doing the same thing. Princess however, has no inkling of self-pity or feelings of hardship. She just carries on, completely unaware of all of us cheering her on :-*
bcbird:
Princess has settled back to face the wind.
At least she looks dry and is snoozing without exertion.
allikat:
What an unfortunate loss - darn weather this year, it's been nasty to nature.
I always say, everything happens for a reason, even though this reason seems harsh, and Mother Nature has interesting ways about dealing with things...
Let's hope that this weather turns around and provides these hard working birds a much deserved break, and hope for the best.
To me, from a novice and non-expert, it's a positive thing that Princess continues to incubate those eggs. She's an extremely experienced Mum and Falcon, so, time will tell, and Princess knows what's going on under that warm feathered breast of hers. :)
