Not a great choice of activities when your tummy has to stay glued to the eggs... ;)

While I was watching at noon, I saw Ivy leave and about a minuite later Princess came and settled on the eggs. I also saw Princess take a header into the gravel twice because the wind caught her under the tail.

The Peregrine Chick:
No worries about the camera - it's practically welded to the building!  I think it is the wind direction that's causing most the problems, it's hitting the camera head on basically so there is no protection from the building.  Average wind speed today downtown is about 6 km/h but it's been gusting up to 30km/h according to the weather station at the U of W.  The most prevalent wind direction up to now this month has been W/NW which meant that the hotel provided a bit of a wind-shadow for the camera.  Problem is that the forecast calls for more wind from the SE which depending on how the wind gets funnelled down the streets by the buildings could be okay and apparently the wind speed won't be getting much higher than it has been, on average, today. So we might get lucky and the camera won't shake as much.

If the winds continue to be problematic and the eggs hatch this weekend, I'll see what I can do about smoothing out some of the shakiness (gotta love apps) on video clips of the hatches or feedings or whatever happens in daylight.
