And a beautiful shot it is, Eagle.  The colours are stunning.

Thanks for the explanation, TPC.  Too cute for words indeed.  At first, I thought they were baby sea turtles ::) then thought they were birds of some kind...then thought turtles again... :-\  Must look them up now for more info.  Can't seem to get enough of birds these days!

eagle63_1999:
Thank-you !  I was out and about that day and went to the ponds and saw birds but this little guy caught my interest in that I wondered if I could get a shot of him.  I did and the rest is history as they say :)

--- End quote ---

They are baby barn swallows.  They are too cute for words and there always seems to be more in a nest than a nest can hold.   You can see five chicks in this photo, in fact there were seven in the nest and they all stay there until "poof" they fledge.  It's hard to tell in the photo but the space from the edge of the nest to the roof above them is about three inches, so they are very "carefully" packed in there.

And I'm very glad you enjoyed the photo!

susha:
First of all - Congratulations to Eagle and TPC for two great photos.  Understandable that there was a tie - they're both wonderful pictures :-*
