Hurricane noisy? Princess can sit back and say "my work is done". ;)
So glad that Hurricane & Brooklyn have more shelter from the rain this year.
Rose:
0726: Change of shift, Hurricane came in looking dry but it is still raining so she must have a dry place to perch. She was pretty noisy, woke Brooklyn up. Shift change took all of about 10 seconds no shuffling around on the eggs this morning. :)
Rose:
0615:Not a nice day at all,it's been raining off and on for the last hour and maybe all night, not raining hard. The wind is 32kms an hour so the rain will be blowing into the nest box but Brooklyn still seems dry and is sleeping soundly.Doesn't sound like a particularly nice day ahead for the birds or the humans. :(

No measurable amount of rain so far today just drizzle, right now the sun is trying to shine and the wind is northwest. This week they seem change the forcast hourly, I sure hope we don't get frost and snow they are forcasting for a few miles further north. :'(

Here's hoping everything goes well. It's hard to imagine how any of them survive on the tops of mountains with no protection whatever. :(

No "tops of mountains" ;) because there is not enough food for them. Now cliffs, yes so long as there is food nearby, so cliffs near water. As for heights, they just need to be high enough - in NWT there have been reports of peregrines nesting on the cliffs that are formed below ground in diamond (I believe) mines - they are deep strip-like mines as I understand.

How interesting, great info as usual, thanks tpc. :)
