They will be busy now feeding the four little ones.  Wish I could see at work.  I can't even see the photos until I get home.  Just a white box where they are supposed to be.

I think there has only been the three hatches so far.  Hurricane hasn't been very accomodating in the last little while.  At 5:30pm there were three chicks and one egg as far as I could tell.

The Peregrine Chick:
I've been downloading video and I have to say, as much as I like Hurricane (and I do) that girl has not yet learned to be particularly gentle with her just hatched chicks.  Jules is much the same and they are about the same age in terms of chick-raising experience.  Princess and the boys (Beau, Ivy and Brooklyn) are much more careful getting on/off the chicks when they first hatch.  The boys maybe because they don't get to do it often and Princess because of all her experience.

Now don't get me wrong folks, the chicks are fine.  Hurricane hasn't hurt them any and they are so pliable/flexible at this age that a little rolling around under Mom won't hurt them any.  As she gets settled into her brooding routine this year, she should get more adept, but it will be interesting to see, last year was not a good year for observing normal behaviour because of the weather.  And Hurricane only need to stuff her kids under her for another 10 days before they won't need her constant attention - less than that if the weather cooperates and the parents can take a break from brooding like at the Radisson this year.

Hurricane did flip him back over the right side up!  It is one of the videos, the link is posted above.  Soon they will be squawking for feeds too! :D

They look like the leaning tower of fluffies, lol.

RCF:
Hurricane left some birdie parts when she left and when Brooklyn showed up he tried to feed the kids, but they weren't all that interested.  Hurricane had stuffed them pretty good.  ;D
