Is that normal to have that kind of indentation, TPC?  Could that indicate that something's wrong with that egg?  Like, maybe chick isn't viable?
Yes, I was wandering the same thing.  Will Hurricane eventually discard the 4th egg, as it still hasn't hatched, and I wander too if it is a dud.

Just saw the little ones being fed. They are so cute! Feeding was done very quickly.

I am having trouble with the Brandon camera. It keeps freezing. I get one or two seconds to tantilize me and then whoops, there it goes, freezing again.  ???  But I have never had any problems with the osund.

;D ;D Thanks RCF for this incredibly adorable photo. Hurricane and chick bunking together. I just made it my computer background.  :-*

Wasn't able to get to this sight yesterday, so did not know about the hatchings.  All it took today was one glance at Hurricane.... they (the moms) look so "streamlined" when they are incubating, then as soon as a chick hatches they puff up like a ball.   The feathers on the lower back above the tail stick up.

Very cute!!

...yes, that's what I saw yesterday as well, and I thought for sure when I checked in this morning that there would be a fourth chick, but then I thought, well, what do I know?  At least I'm not the only one puzzled this time... :-*

...now, with a better view of the egg, I see no pips or cracks...but it is in the line-up for a feeding... :D

I think perhaps egg 4 is just facing the wrong way to see, but I do in fact think there is a depression in the egg on one side - or at least that is what I recall seeing at some point after the other three chicks had hatched.  When I finish downloading video for the gallery, I'll see if I can't find that screen capture and post it ....

I posted the screen cap of the cracked/dented egg on reply # 51  :)
