Three somewhat pancakes at McKenzie Seeds this afternoon.  It must be a warm day down there.

RCF, I am not able to access the video you posted.  Have you changed your video locations?  I have internet explorer 9 so that is not a problem.

I just had a look too RCF because I've the cam on and the sound is turned right up as high as it can be....I had to turn it down!   
It's tough watching as the cam freezes every few seconds...get a tad dizzy watching. LOL!

Does she hang out on top of the nest box often? She doesn't look very comfortable - not that I have any clue as to what a Peregrine finds comfortable 

It's comfortable more for young birds than for older ones, or rather the older birds do it less often.  Brooklyn is doing it because he is hot and by lying down he is able to get his breast on something cooler and he is able to spread his wings out to catch the wind so that it flows under him which again is cooling.

Thanks TPC.  One wouldn't think by looking at it that the top of the nestbox would be cooler.

I was hoping to get some pics of the kids, but they never ventured to the front of the nest box like they have been recently, it's Murphy's Law y'know.   I did however get a couple of Brooklyn and Hurricane..

Brandon chicks are smart. They are keeping tucked in under the roof, in the shade right now.

KC, they look so very calm and cool, unlike our Radisson Royals.

Has a date been set for the banding of the Brandon chicks?

Yes - we will be banding on Thursday.  Haven't finalized the time yet as we have other work to set-up and do in the Brandon area.  And yes, the banding will be streamed live.  Monday I hope to have all the timing details set and will post here and on the main page of the Forum in the "news" section.

I hope everything goes well for you guys on Thursday so you can do the banding.
