Maya's off the roof edge and sitting on a drain cap.  Doesn't seem to matter what city or what roof, these drain caps are always appealing to peregrines - adults and chicks alike.  She's been there for awhile so I have zoomed in.

Just came back from downtown and I'm pretty sure it's Maya on the annex that would make sense because that's the direction she went and the one that was on the tower building was one of the boys. Didn't see the other two when I was there.

Maya fledged shortly after 0600,she flew northwest toward the Annex building and shortly after flew to the MTS building. She is now on the north side of the building with the three long(dark) windows and has been fed by Brooklyn(report by RCF).
Sounds as if her fledge and 1st flights went well. Thanks for the reports, Rose & RCF. :-*

Looks like Maya on the east roof wall of the  Annex.  Haven't been able to see the others, but not surprising, lots of the spots they like to hang out on, are not visible to the camera.

Ah... thanks, RCF. So, was the original hack box just sitting on the roof like that or had it been fastened to the wall, like the wall nestbox is now? ???

Hack boxes aren't like nestboxes so no it wasn't attached to the wall, it was free-standing and in this case faced north.  The site attendant had to access it daily to feed the chicks while they were incarcerated.

All three kids are on the lower roof. Maya was on the north wall and the two boys flew in from wherever they had been perched.  :)

That brings up a good question - if Peregrines kill their prey in the air, would a pigeon be at any risk unless it's on the wing?  Might be a silly question... ::)

If it's close enough why bother expending all that energy chasing it!  I would think if the pefa took a run at the pigeon, it would fly away.  :D

I think it was raised above the roof floor, TPC would know more than I.   ??? :)
