Not a lot to report tonight.  Although I hafta say, it's kinda creepy being up on the parkade ALONE in the evening.
I know what you mean, BirdLover, I found it to be a little creepy myself, when I spent some time ALONE in the Radisson Parkade on Fledge Watch Patrol in the early morning a few weeks ago. :P Was sure glad to have the company of des, Saorise and deb when they were around! ;)

Sorry Birdlover, not BCF, got the name wrong.  Creeps is always a gut feeling to respect.
Glad you can do a quick 180 with a wicked binoc swing!

Oh no, bcbird, it's not dark (yet) just deserted [(shiver emote)] Gives me the willies.
I don't know of anyone else here that is interested other than Rose and RCMBF and they are there at other times than I.
But don't you worry, I can swing my binos pretty hard if needs be LOL.

Thanks for the report BCF, but be careful, take care of yourself in those dark places.  Do you have to go alone?

Hi Folks,

Not a lot to report tonight.  Although I hafta say, it's kinda creepy being up on the parkade ALONE in the evening.  You can't really hear a lot because of the traffic so I was doing a one eighty every so often to make sure there was no one sneakin' up on me.   :o

Two kids up on the cover of the nest box, one on the perch that sticks out the front and one on the ledge of the nest box.  An adult on the SW corner of the building "preparing" the evening meal.  Feathers flyin' every which way.  Too funny.

When the adult was finished it's share, it flew on down for delivery.  Two of the kids didn't look to interested but the one on the ledge dove right in and then the one on the perch followed.

It's a bit difficult to look to the west with binos when the sun is shining, dontcha know!  8)

More tomorrow I hope
Night all

Birdlover, seemed to have missed you 2 days in a row,Sunday and today. rcmbf and I were ther early this am ,just after 8am til about 10am and then she had to go and do errands. We were there almost 2hours and nothing of note happened. Zeus and Hurricane were sitting on the clock tower one at the top and one at the bottom of the tower and stayed there the whole time we were there. Three chicks were standing on the edge of the nest box with their backs to us(my they look sleek with the sun shining on them) the other chick was on the perch facing us. When the sun shines on them you can see the browns and gold beautiful! They moved around a bit but not much wing flapping. When we left they had all turned to face us and you could see the browns and gold on their breasts shining in the sun.
I won't be able to go tomorrow morning  :'( :'( :'( have a date  making saskatoon pies about 16!! we have a u-pick saskatoon farm a couple of miles out of town and my friends husband just brought home a dozen baskets.
I feel sad I can't be there tomorrow because I'm sure at least one of the chicks will do it tomorrow so watch carefuly Birdlover.

I'm heading back there after supper when it should be a bit quieter downtown cuz they roll up the sidewalks at 6 or so. LOL

Forgot to mention that it looked like a meal had been dropped off as they were tearing away at something off and on while I was watching.  Not nearly as much fun as watching a fly by hand-off though.  I'm hoping to get to see some good stuff though.    8)

:o Oh, that boy wants to go so bad!!!!  He just sits on the side of box and flaps like there is nothing stopping him.   He just has to let go and he's airborne.   Really windy here again today so hope he waits til it dies down a bit.

All four chicks on the edge of the nestbox and two trying to wingercize at the same time!!  It's a little crowded but oh so good to see that they are all doing so well.

One of them has a spectacularly caramel coloured throat and it looks like it glows in the right light.  Just beautiful!

One of the parents sitting above on the tower and watching the world go by.  OH, and someone from MacKenzie Seeds must have read the post about the clocks being different, cuz they are set to the same time now LOL .   :P
