Sometimes, it's hard to find the words to express what I feel when I see them.  It just takes my breath away when you see one of the kids push off from a ledge or to see the talon touch.  It is truly amazing to me.  They go from a tiny little egg, to a magnificent full sized bird in such a short time and are able to do what their parents can do in a very short time after they leave the nest.

I just get too excited!!!  ;D ;D ;D

It's a beautiful day for our falcon family to be catchlng thermals and soaring high in the sky.  Rose and I saw three falcons way off to the north and one that flew over the parkade very high in the sky. We hung around for an hour hoping they would come closer, but I guess they were just doing what falcons do.   :)

was down at the parkade about 9:30 this morning, all was quiet only saw four, 2 adults and 2chicks no one was flying. just when I was leaving two chicks flew up from beind the building soared around and settled back down again behind the building so that made 4 chicks. It looked like they had all been fed and wanted to sleep.

Sorry I couldn't post earlier but here I am now.

Made a quick trip downtown today and here is what I saw.  Zeus on the Scotia building, Hurricane on the clock tower looking down at one of the kids at the base of the clock tower and one kid on the south side of the tower.

Did a walk about and discovered another kid on the clock tower.  While I was doing the walkabout, one of the kids ( must have been the one I didn't see) flew off to the south and Hurricane took off after it and that was the last I saw of them.

So, not a lot of action but all present and accounted for and well and happy.

I got on the bus because there was some ugly black clouds heading east and as soon as the bus took off it started pouring.  So, my timing was perfect but I sure felt sorry for those kids in that downpour.

of course we deserve it ,not every one would stand out in the rain just to look at birds, of course these are very special birds, they are extended family  ;D
