Radisson - 2012 / Ivy & Princess

Gingerlee:
Just got back from a fledgewatch stint of a few hours. Dennis & BCCS were already there & Cooper joined in a while later. The top of the parkade was the perfect spot to watch yellow bird on the ledge of the MTS centre.  When I first got there, Ivy was on the i of the Manitoba Hydro sign & Princess was sitting pretty on the b.  Red bird (her little highness) was on the nest box with transmitter bird on the ledge.  Swallows would do fly bys tryng to harass yellow bird but other than watching them, he just sat there calm cool & collected.  To be able to be that close to a peregrine falcon was more than I could hope for.  Yellow did some flapping of the wings & we would think he would take off again, but most of the time seemed to be quite happy either snoozing or walking the ledge.  When I left Ivy was back on the roof of the Radisson, Princess had been on the tower but then took off towards the river.

Busy, adventure-filled day yesterday, TPC!  Thanks for the update.  It all makes sense now of course.

Our beautiful girl is looking so ready to join her brothers ;)

Is Green/silver on the ledge or did he take off again?

Jo:

Thanks for the update Tracy.  I was pretty close with my synopsis wasn't I?  ;).  And like I said, you must have had a busy day!

Such excitement and such drama!  Never a dull moment in falcon-land!  ;D
