--- Quote from: Liz on June 23, 2012, 20:38 ---RCF, do you mean the picture on the CBC cam page? That tall one is the hotel, yes. The stripes on the side are actually the parkade, not glass. I never noticed before that it looks like glass! :) The nestbox is on the other side of the hotel; the nest ledge is on the side shown in the photo.

Hope both white and yellow boys get back to the nest on their own steam and would that be the building that is mostly glass I see in the google picture?

Congratulations on fledging Leana! I won't be too far behind you 8)
Thank you TPC and all our Fledgewatchers for the updates.

Report from the Field - 0815h CDT
Susha let me know that this evening's fledgewatchers have spotted either white or yellow on the roof of the Kensington Building (that's on the northeast corner of Portage and Smith - kitty corner to the Radisson). There is a breeze so I haven't been able to get a still shot of his leg using the spy-cam which is the only camera on the east side of the Hotel. But from the blurry image I did, it looks more white than yellow, but it could be just the way the westering sun is shining on it. The Fledgewatchers are continuing their hunt for the "other" fledgee and will report back when they can.
Note about the Kensington Building for those who are not familiar with downtown Winnipeg - it is just a few stories lower than the Radisson roof - if this bird decides to take a circle around the Hotel from his location, he will have absolutely no problem making altitude and returning to the nestbox/ledge if that's what he wants to do!
Way to go Fledgewatchers!!!
