Somebirdy's on the roof of the hotel; lots of creeching happening. It always amazes me how loud they are. Two on the box and a parent (I think) just took off to the west.

What a very eventful Saturday and Saturday evening!
Thank you to all fledgewatchers/runners for so many reports of
the happenings, and to TPC for keeping us up to date on this and the CBC site.
The cam shows a lovely summer night sky with one of our favourite juvies in sillhouette.
Wow!  That's dedication.  Fledgewatchers have been busy all day and well into the evening.  Get a good rest, tommorow will be another exciting day.

Bedtime story... Tomorrow is another day

Falcons rest in your nest
Tis time to sleep and get your rest.
The sun rises in the east with a morning feast
While you stretch your wings with a rhythmic beat.
Time will tell who is next,
Until then, we are nervous wrecks.
Tomorrow is another day,
Flap your wings and fly away.

As the light is failing (2246h), there is our Red is on the box edge and Green/Silver is  on the ledge about half-way down.  Don't know where the adults are, but they have both settled in for the night ... despite a last flapping run down the ledge by GS about 20 minutes ago ....

The view I'm leaving "on" overnight is the ledge cam in case White or Yellow return to the ledge in the morning demanding food or if Red or Green/Silver decide to make the leap - this way you can see the chicks leaving or coming in - with the skycam, its too difficult to see the whole length.

Night all

It was wonderful to see Princess & Ivy doing lots of fly-bys and circling around the Radisson this evening. Also great that we were able to spot "white" or "yellow" perched on the roof of the Kensington Bldg. for quite some time. :D Enjoyed fledge watching with Susha, Linder & des, although I'd forgotten just how windy it can get, up on the roof of the various parkades we were on.

Someone flew off from the ledge about 5 minutes ago. Don't know which one it was.

When I got off the bus at Portage and Donald at 7:30pm I could hear alot of kakking. Looked upwards and saw 3 peregrines in the air. They were flying between the Radisson and MTS, Rogers area. They were flying in this area for almost 5 minutes. I was sure it was the 2 parents and a fledgling. There were still in the 2 in the box, I assumed RG and GS. The last time I saw them 1 landed on the roof of the Radisson by the white drum looking things, one on the antenna and the other flew towards the Rogers/Hydro area.
There was another lady standing at this corner with her camera taking pictures but I don't know if she got a picture of them in the air.

OH OH OH - somebody just came back to the nest! Might be one of the fledgelings?? - and a parent soaring above watching all the goings-on.  :D

The parents were doing lots of flying tonight - to the nestbox with and without food, around the Radisson a lot, kakking away - we thought the helicoptor that was circling overhead was winding them up until Tracy assured us that the helicoptor is around a fair bit and everyone is used to it by now.  So they might have been encouraging Red and GS to fly or encouraging one of the fledglings we couldn't see or...?

Watching these birds fly is beyond thrilling! :-*

Would be nice if it was White - then we'd know that both fledgers are ok!

Some photos of the Kensington Building bird ...

On the building

Zoomed in - lost the resolution because of the breeze and distance

Could be white or could be yellow looking white in the direct sun from the west ...
