I decided it was too hot to check on them after work today, assuming they'd be settled in shade somewhere.  (Two at the box!)  After 7:00 seems to be a better time for a head-count.

1741h CDT

There is a bird sitting on the Hydro sign and I can't tell if its one of the adults sitting on an angle so they look totally dark or if its actually one of the chicks.  I think it must be one of the adults, but I'm just not sure given how well the fledglings have been doing to date ...

I have confidence in all of these kids.  I know that bad things can still happen ( :-X) but so far, all four have demonstrated stellar flying abilities and are all so quick to learn what they need to in order to survive this brutal world!  I sure hope we see all of them back at home for awhile :)

I want to agree with you Susha (knock on wood) but I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before I say anything "out loud"  ;)

So we don't know if Jubilee has returned to the nestbox, do we?   ???

Haven't see her yet, but despite McDermot staying at the box longer, she is still a bit behind her brothers in development and she's larger, so she just may not be flying high enough to get up to the box/ledge again.  McDermot's first flight put him on the roof of the Rogers building so he had good altitude on his first flight and had the window washers not been working he may never have needed to be rescued - just poor timing.  As for Fleet and Hart, watching their take-offs, they were so ready to go and both of them ended up quite low and it took them a couple of days to get back up to the box.  Jubilee is at about the same age as they were when they first got up here, so it wouldn't surprise me if she turned up tomorrow morning (when most of them drop by), particularly if the winds are light.  Or she may never come back - and that's just her personality.  Or she may just be chasing her parents for food - I seem to recall another female or two who were very demanding of their parents after fledging.  With luck though, she'll turn up on camera at least once more!

We saw Hart and McDermot, but do we know that the third one was Fleet?
I was fairly sure the first guy I saw on the ledge this morning was Fleet.

Hart turned up at before 0600h for a visit ...

I'm not able to watch all the time but when I have, I've only seen the boys come back to the nestbox/ledge. Has Jubilee been back at all? Is it typical for a female to not return or is it maybe just her personality?

I've still not seen footage of her fledge either. . . is there one? I really want to see our girl fly.

Thanks MS, I thought it might be McDermot. I can just see his tail feathers but also thought I could see his antennae.

....Jubilee (if it is her) ran flapping along 2/3 of the east ledge on the boyd building, and I think I saw one of the parents soaring in lazy circles way up above her - probably what got her all excited.  She's out of sight again now (still on the building as far as I know) and I really have to get my FULL attention back to my work... ;)

Such a drag when work interferes with falcon watching... ::)
