Radisson - 2012 / Ivy & Princess
The Peregrine Chick:
July 2 (so far)
Someone flew up to the ledge and then immediately turned around and flew off - looked like a chick but couldn't tell who. Didn't stay for 5 seconds. That was at 0345h.
Next visit was the same at 0452h and same deal, might have been McDermot but still not enough light to even see if it had a backpack or antennae, but the size looked like McDermot.
At 0636h, Hart turned up for a minute or two before taking off again.
All were at the ledgecam end of the ledge, nothing at the nestbox or further down the ledge. And no one spent the night. All quiet since Hart left
The Peregrine Chick:
--- Quote from: Kinderchick on July 01, 2012, 20:14 ---Was there a PF on the nest ledge, down beside the right hand corner of the nestbox around 1630h today, TPC? I was returning from some Canada Day celebrations and drove down Portage Ave. past the Radisson at that time. I was pretty sure I saw a bird there. :-\

Its entirely possible - the ledgecam has difficulty seeing that far and the box cam may not have been zoomed out enough to see it. McDermot is the likely candidate as he has been around pretty much all day.

The Peregrine Chick:
Checked the recorder and McDermot has been spending alot of time at the nestsite today
Was there overnight with Jubilee; Fleet and Hart turned up around 0306 and they were gone by 0545 when Jubilee made a trip down the ledge; McDermot and Jubilee left together at 0835h from the box; he came back at 1230h and he hung out by the ledge-cam and left around 1430h. He returned 1930h and left almost immediately, then someone flew by and he was back again at 1934h and is now tucking into a teal on the ledge.
GCG:
Happy Canada Day to my phellow phorum phriends!
