Radisson - 2012 / Ivy & Princess

<< < (450/470) > >>

Stormy:
Twice now I have heard what appears to be a peregrine flying over and making his/her destinctive call.  I haven't heard peregrine's before where I am (live on south side of the Assiniboine River between the Osborne St. and Maryland St. bridges).

Anyone else in the area hearing hearing the peregrines?

--- Quote from: Elaine L on March 21, 2012, 11:27 ---I like these ideas; I would like to think that Trey and Princess (if she is not back, and that hussy Sandy is carrying on with that easily seduced two-timer Ivy), are enjoying their golden years together in a seniors home (wetland) down south, enjoying their long-deserved retirement.  Well, that is my dream, and I am sticking to it.

I think TPC said Oak Hammock is like a mall for teenage peregrine juvies to hang in after fledging.
Why couldn't there be an equivalent wetland that is a seniors home for our beloved older  birds?

I love this idea!!  That's my dream as well, Elaine! :)

Hey -- everybody else retires, why not our birds, right???  ;)

bccs:
Lots and lots of terrified pigeons flying around my home today, interspersed with a darting peregrine. Oh yes, the rivers are ice free and the raptors are doing what they do best. Happy new year.
