Jadoo - when you get out of the elevator, there is a whole wall of windows - that is south. Standing at that window, the nestbox will be to your right and around the corner on the west side of the building.
If you want to lookup and get a view, go out onto Portage Avenue and on the other side of the street and to your left at the next intersection west (Portage Ave & Donald Street), there is the Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) store. If you stand in front of their store and look up, you can see the Radisson sign. If you look above the R, you will see a lighter grey/brown rectangle at the bottom of the big dark brown rectangle (you will understand when you are looking) - the lighter grey/brown rectangle is the nestbox itself.
If you want to check out the Manitoba Hydro Building sign, then walk south of the Radisson on either Donald Street (where MEC is) or on Smith Street (that's the corner the Hotel is on) and you will hit a public parking lot beside an Anglican Church. If you stand in that parking lot, you should be able to see the sign well enough without binocs to see the birds on the letters (if he/she is there). You can also look up at the roof of the Radisson and see all the communications towers on the roof - the tallest one is the one the birds like to sit on and yell at us. If there is a blob on the tower, that's one of the birds.
At the moment there is window-cleaning going on I think, so whoever is incubating is aware but not getting off the eggs while the other parent likes to sit and watch them work. The cleaning usually goes quite quickly because they use bosun's chairs rather than the lifts, it is less disturbing for the birds.
Hope this helps (and hope you get to read it before the end of your visit here!!)
