I'm going to take a flyer here and say that I think this little band is not going wait until they are "old enough" to do things ... which is I suspect going to cause us more than a few heart-stopping moments!

They are not even in their tweens and are already spreading their wings and their attitude ;)
Jo:
5:45 ish Breakfast time.
I think the chicks doubled in size since yesterday! Okay, that's an exaggeration - but they sure are growing.
They are not shy about just reaching out and grabbing food.
One of the chicks took something that was too big to swallow . . . eventually it came back up and parent picked it apart then served up smaller portions.
Back to the wall for a cuddle
Edited to add:
5:52 -another round of incoming food. :o

Sorry, I should have said I could hear the banging, just that I wasn't sure what the cause was - sounds too close and clear to the microphone to be something on the outside of the building. And as far as I know there isn't any work going on on the roof of the Hotel and no one in the nestbox seems spooked by the sound, not like when they were incubating and they could hear people on the roof working. And I know it wasn't the hotel construction after 1900h because I checked out the site with the skycam and all the machines were sleeping and no one was on-site. If tomorrow has less wind and the sound is still there, I'll do some investigating ...
