For the new folks here, there will be an opportunity to vote on names for the chicks after we band them next week and know what gender they are. For myself, I kind of thought perhaps a royal theme name? It is Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee this year. Some possible names might be from the Queen, her name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor. Buckingham, Sovereign, Monarch, Diamond, Crown, Jewel,

Hahahaha, Ivy just arrived - without food - and is trying to get the kids under him.
The kids are not happy, here's Dad without a snack.
And all he can manage is one chick partially protected.
Hmm, I think it's Princess, not Ivy.

And the little boy(?) I'm calling Tony. Ever so polite, but a solid little gentleman when needs be.

The thunderstorm is here and the chicks are all up against the sheltered back of the nest box. Some yelling going on, I don't know if it's hunger, a parent near or the storm.

Expecting a high of 19 today with 60% chance of afternoon/evening thunder showers.
