Leana:
It was quite the stressful morning Kinderchick! He lept out of the box right in front of my eyes as I checked in before heading off to work. I frantically took screenshots and uploaded them and posted and, and, and... *exhale*... thankfully he got himself back into the nest a few hours later and hopefully won't be trying that again anytime soon (one can hope, however unrealistic it might be!).
And RCF, thanks for the explanation. And here I thought it was some Peregrine saying... ::) LOL.
Kinderchick:
Wow! :o I missed all of the escapee's escapades today, with the business of the last day of school. It was great to catch up! Thanks everyone, for all of the posts and for your fabulous video of Rosser's wanderings, rcf. :-*

I haven't been around long enough to know what this means... ???
--- End quote ---
The "hit and run raids" refers to Thomas Lafayette (Tex) Rosser (October 15, 1836 - March 29, 1910) was a Confederate general during the American Civil War, and later an officer in the Spanish American War and railroad construction engineer. A favorite of J.E.B. Stuart, he was noted for his daring cavalry raids, efficiency in handling combat troops, and tactical brilliance.
