McKenzie Seeds - 2011 / Brooklyn & Hurricane

The Peregrine Chick:
1230 hrs

Looks like Brooklyn and Princess are on the same schedule ... he's on the box, mostly sleeping.  No rain, almost no wind in the box from what I can see (which is a nice change).  Looks like watery sunlight on the edge of the nestbox unfortunately the box faces east so afternoon sun won't help out much.  All looks fine though.

Rose:
A little windy here but the clouds seem to have broken up and the sun is peeking through, bird on the eggs in the nest  should be happy :)

The Peregrine Chick:
1000 hrs

Brooklyn is on duty in the nestbox right now.  Not so miserable looking as he has been.  He's napping but not so velcroed to the eggs as he has been, more relaxed.  At the moment it seems as though the building is helping to provide a bit of protection from the wind.

According to Environment Canada, the wind in NNW 28 km/h which is seems to be the forecast for the day along with a chance of rain this morning.  Suppose to start clearing up tomorrow with temperatures rising to 19C on Sunday, 20C into next week.

The Peregrine Chick:
0735 hrs

Hurricane is sitting pretty on the eggs here - no rain and she's all bright-eyed and looking out and around.  Apparently the wind is suppose to come up and come in from the north as the day wears on, not sure if the building will help to block it or not but we'll keep an eye on them.  May be another day of "draught" in the nestbox.

allikat:
Good to know the falcons are high and dry!  Thanks for the updates RCF and Rose!
