Poor wee birdie ... rain is pouring still (there is a stream that runs off the roof above the windowcam) and birdie is head down in the rain facing outwards.  Can't tell who it is by plumage because they are just too wet.  I think its Hurricane by the "blur" on her cheek patch.  But the bird is tucked up and head down and in its hard to be sure of the facial pattern ...

Its still raining like it was before , but for some reason, Hurricane isn't as wet as poor Brooklyn ... going to have to check exactly how long the poor guy was on duty this morning!
Maybe Hurricane 's feathers are more waterproof than Brooklyn's LOL ::)

Hurricane just took over in the next box from a very wet and bedraggled Brooklyn.  All four eggs are high and dry but he was a poor wee wet bird.  They are tucked into the corner under the roof as much as possible but with the wind there is absolutely no way either bird is going to be dry today while they are incubating.  These two are pretty good at short shifts in good weather, will be interesting to see if the same holds true in wet.

I bet Brooklyn goes and perches on one of the very top west windows of the McKenzie building, he would be out of the wind and rain...........where he has perched before on days like this.

And because you can't see the weather or the webcam (yet), here's the revised Victoria Day Weekend forecast for Brandon:

Today- Rain. Amount 10 to 15 mm. Wind east 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature steady near 15.
Tonight -Rain. Amount 10 to 15 mm. Wind east 30 km/h becoming light late this evening. Low 13.
Sunday -Rain ending early in the morning then cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Becoming cloudy periods in the evening. Wind becoming northeast 30 km/h late in the afternoon. Temperature steady near 14.
Monday - A mix of sun and cloud. Low 9. High 17.

It is currently pouring rain and 15C so Brandon too is at their high for the day.

Hurricane is incubating.  Gone cloudy and still a bit breezy in Brandon.  Not sure she's pleased with either a) change in the weather or b) that she's on duty mid-day ...

Hurricane is on the eggs in the morning sun.  Surprised to see her here, Brooklyn is usually the one I see at this time of the day.  If you can see their heads its easy to tell the two of them apart - he has a lovely white cheek patch, her's is kind of blurred so to speak.  Bit of a breeze in the box ruffling feathers but not enough to be more than a pleasant feeling while sitting in the sun ...

... she doing a bit of housecleaning but the Brandon box has lots (and LOTS) of debris so she doesn't really have to get off the eggs in order to play around with all sorts of disgusting bits of previous years' meals  :-X  ::)
I thought that you or Dan clean out the nestbox each year, before the birds return. :-\ Must be really "yucky" up there, although not for a bird, I guess. ::)

Because the box is not hit by the light of the sunset, it looks like mid-day right now in Brandon (unlike at the Radisson).  Hurricane is dozing on the eggs and we can see her perfectly and in technicolour.  Every so often she has a little mutter but she's muttering to anyone, just muttering at the moment.

Ah, spoke too soon, the mid-incubation boredom has started to set in, she doing a bit of housecleaning but the Brandon box has lots (and LOTS) of debris so she doesn't really have to get off the eggs in order to play around with all sorts of disgusting bits of previous years' meals  :-X  ::)
