TPC will have the actual dimensions.the east side and north side are open and the roof is cut off across the northeast corner but covers most of the box but I can tell you this box can hold 4 chicks that are ready to fledge,it seems a tight fit at times but Hurricane's first family fledged successfully(2009) from here with no trouble.

What is the actual size of the nest box?  How much of it is actually under the overhang?

What a lovely couple Brooklyn & Hurricane are.

If you see water dripping in front of the camera lens it's coming from the roof, according to a retired employee the drains haven't been cleaned in years. The weather this afternoon has been sun and cloud and the temperature is 17c and it hasn't rained since about 11:00 so fairly nice for our birds

Earlier today I was watching Brooklyn in the nest and I saw something (looked sort of like snow) falling in front of the nest box.  Now that I think about it may have been feathers falling, cause it surely wasn't snow.  ;D

Bird has its back to mee, but pretty sure its Brooklyn, think I can see some neon.

Yes, I agree that it's Brooklyn and he's picking at stuff in the box.

Window Cam in Brandon had a lovely view of the birds (if you ignore the drips dropping) so I've switched the image for the moment.  If the condensation builds up again or the rain gets heavy, I'll/we'll flip it back to the red box cam.

At lease the Peregrines are experiencing less "water" at the moment.  Looked pretty miserable earlier on today...
Yes, when I looked earlier this morning, the water seemed to be dripping down the camera lens, not sure if there was any going into the nestbox. :-\

Great to see them up close, so to speak, rather than just through binocs.

Congratulations sami on your 500 posts !  You have become a fledgling.  8)

Will have to learn to recognize each bird from up close instead from 7 stories  up and a block  away.
You can see the difference with these two pics.

Very light rain and a little wind mostly from the south east but Hurricane and Brooklyn should be used to it by now, it's been like this every weekend since incubating started. For those who are asking about audio on this cam (which would be nice)be patient. For those of us out here in Brandon we are very thankful to just be able to see into the nest box.  After watching this pair and others over the last few years we never got to see the chicks until they were almost ready to be banded and now we can :)
