McKenzie Seeds - 2011 / Brooklyn & Hurricane
Ellie:
She moved......must have heard you Linderlou. It is now under the tail feathers but still not entirely under her. The end seemed to keep getting whiter as I watched but now it is hidden so I guess my watching that particular egg is over. Oh well it too shall hatch with out me.
Linder:
The end of it does. I keep yelling at the screen for the bird to move but guess this doesn't work. ??? ???
Ellie:
The egg that is on the outside of Hurricane appears to be weakening at the end as it appears whitish. Or am I seeing things?

Haven't checked the recorder yet but when I get a chance I will but I think you are right. Not a big concern, the chick will be tired from its adventure and the weather really sucks for birds trying to hunt and an hours-old chick to try to figure out how to sit up and eat. The chick won't come to harm, Hurricane and Brooklyn will feed it when they can or when they have to. If there is another chick hatching at the moment, they may hold off and try to feed both when the winds go down some more.

Don't think there is a need to worry.

Every time so far when the adult moves enough to see the chick,
it seems to be on it's side and it's eye is open. Is the chick ok?
Maybe I'm just worrying too much.

I haven't seen a feeding, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been fed. :-\
